In the effort to save our nation, state, and county, every one of us has unique gifts and passions to bring to the table.
Rather than ask you to perform shoe-leather work and menial tasks, we want our organization to give each of our members the opportunity to pursue their own political passion.
Whether your project is to organize an event, support a campaign, or raise awareness, we can help connect you to like-minded organizers. If you would like to volunteer, let us know which project or projects you would be interested in, and we will help you make the effort a long-term success. How would you like to help build the conservative movement?
Education Accountability Project: This task force will focus on supporting parents by holding public schools accountable to upholding high academic standards, honoring parental rights, and opposing political indoctrination – and promoting alternatives to schools that fail to do so. Members will help organize parents who are aggrieved by their local school boards, spotlight misconduct by school officials, recruit strong candidates for school boards, and connect families to resources outside of the government school system.
Business Council: The Business Council is a group of Republican Club members in the business community to promote the ideas and policies that encourage commercial growth--and expose the dangers of anti-growth policies--through community engagement. Council members provide insight and advice to club members and provide vital support that allows our organization to assist policy-makers and candidates.
Campus outreach: Support, promote, and coordinate student activities among conservative organizations at UM, EMU, and WCC to reach and develop the next generation of conservative leaders on the college campus.
Firearms Coalition: Organize gun owners and enthusiasts in Washtenaw County to promote and defend the exercise of our constitutional right to keep and bear arms. From organizing shoots and training events to countering anti-firearms activities on campus, the firearms coalition will work to reinvigorate popular support for responsible gun ownership.
Women’s Federation: Establish a local Republican Women's Club. Let's unite conservative women to support policies that strengthen families, communities, and economic opportunities. Through networking events, mentorship, and advocacy, members will help cultivate a new generation of female leaders in business, politics, and civic engagement. This group will provide a platform for conservative women to amplify their voices on key issues affecting their families and careers, organize training sessions to prepare Republican women, helping them navigate the political landscape and develop the skills necessary for successful candidacies.
Community Outreach Team: The Community Engagement Coalition focuses on building relationships with churches, veterans' groups, small businesses, and other civic organizations to grow Republican influence. Members will represent the club at key events, host community service initiatives, and ensure conservative voices are present in local conversations. This group will also collaborate with like-minded organizations to strengthen grassroots networks and increase voter participation. By embedding the club within the broader community, the coalition fosters trust, dialogue, and political action.
Online Engagement Team: WashtenawGOPClub.com is already the county's finest source of news. We need your help to promote our message and our events online! Build our online presence on X, Facebook, YouTube, and other platforms. Produce original content for our website to share across the Web. And help attract new members through these new media.
Executive Branch Leadership Project:The Executive Branch Leadership Project will work to ensure Michigan’s top statewide races, including Governor, Secretary of State, and Attorney General, are won by solid conservatives, rather than dangerous left-wing partisans. We will develop hard-hitting materials exposing the radical agenda of the left-wing candidates and the harm they would cause to Michigan taxpayers, and coordinate the message among Washtenaw County conservatives to help develop the contrast among candidates in these critical races and ensure the right candidates out-perform in Washtenaw County.
Senate Victory Team: The Senate Victory Team will focus exclusively focuses on the race for U.S. Senate, delving into the backgrounds of each of the candidates and keeping careful track of every public statement to ensure that conservatives have the very best rhetorical ammunition in their political arsenal for the high-stakes battle for Michigan's representation in the U.S. Senate. For too long, Michigan has been represented by dullards in the U.S. Senate, to our national embarrassment. By laying the foundation to outperform in Washtenaw County, the Senate Victory Team will help secure victory in critical Senate race ahead.
State Legislative Task Force: The State Legislative Task Force is dedicated to impacting state policy by supporting conservative lawmakers and holding left-wing activists that represent much of the county accountable for the damage their policies have caused to our state. Members will track legislation, organize calls to action, and build relationships with legislators to advocate for Republican priorities. The task force will also educate voters on key bills, ensuring constituents are informed about how their representatives are voting. By serving as a bridge between grassroots activists and state policymakers, this group will help shape Michigan’s legislative future.
County Watchdog: This group will monitor the Washtenaw County government to expose corruption, wasteful spending, and overreach. Attend county commission meetings, analyze budgets, and provide transparency reports to inform the public of local government abuses. This group will also work to recruit and support Republican candidates for local offices who will champion fiscal responsibility and accountability. By shining a spotlight on county politics, the committee will hold local leaders accountable and push for policies that serve the people.
