29-year-old Malik Letroy Webb has been charged with 19 counts in his Christmas Eve crime spree in which she shot a 71-year-old woman to death and shot another victim in the arm.
Webb had driven his car into a ditch when several good Samaritans tried to assist him on Christmas Eve, including Barbara Wolf, a psychologist and teacher, who he shot to death. The other victims include Wolf’s 38-year-old daughter and a 22-year-old woman.
As noted in the Detroit Free Press:
Webb was released from prison in 2023 after serving five years and six months for felony gun charges. He was released two years short of his maximum sentence, despite acquiring another weapons charge while in prison. According to the Oakland County 52–1 District Court in Novi, Webb was discharged from parole on Jan. 1 of this year.
A violent criminal was out on the street because
SB 321–325 early parole were sponsored by multiple Democrats, including Jeff Irwin (D‑Ann Arbor), the primary sponsor of SB 325.
