Darious Morris is a cop-hating felon.
Naturally, he was elected Detroit Police Commissioner.

A Detroit police commissioner plans to resign after a news investigation exposed a criminal history that includes threatening to kill a police officer.
Newly elected Detroit Police Commissioner Darious Morris, 38, told multiple media outlets he plans to resign from the Board of Police Commissioners following criticism over his social media posts, as well as his criminal background. […]
Morris was convicted of forgery and impersonating a notary public in 2009, as well as similar charges in 2010 that resulted in a two-year prison sentence.
Morris was later charged with being a felon in possession of a firearm in 2021, a charge that was dropped after the officer failed to show in court, though Wayne County Prosecutor Kim Worthy’s office announced it will refile charges in that case.
Morris was arrested again in 2023 and pleaded guilty to assaulting, resisting or obstructing a police officer after intervening in a traffic stop involving a mini-bike. A Warren Police officer at the scene claimed Morris alleged to be the “Detroit Police Department Chaplain at the 9th Precinct” as he flashed a fake badge he bought online, WXYZ reported.
In video of the incident reviewed by the news site, Morris shouted at the officer: “If you’d have put your hands on him, I would have shot you!”
