The Democrats put on a shameful display throughout President Trump’s address to Congress, disgracing the institution of Congress, insulting the White House, and embarrassing the American people.
Several of them, including Rep. Al Green (TX), had to be escorted from the House chamber for being disruptive.
President Trump handled their shenanigans with aplomb, calling them out right from the get-go. He accurately observed that nothing he could say or do would make them hate him any less.
And throughout the night, he proved himself correct as he told the stories of guests in the audience who had been helped by the President’s policies: military personnel, law enforcement, families torn apart by violent thugs in the country illegally, and a woman who suffered brain damage because she had been forced to compete against a male in a women’s sports team.
But most disrespectfully of all, President Trump took a moment to honor a child who had beaten brain cancer, who had been picked on by other children, and who dreamed of becoming a Secret Service agent. When President Trump made him an honorary member, the cameras caught our Representative in Congress, Debbie Dingell, rolling her eyes and plugging one ear.
Dingell, whose only distinction in life was marrying into a congressional seat, is an embarrassment to all Americans and especially those of us with the misfortune to be represented by her in Congress.
